It seemed that there was a sudden change in scenery. The burnt trees and piles of rubble were being replaced with the ruins of buildings and automobiles. By the look of things, Echorvus had stumbled upon the remains of a small town, and from experience he knew that wherever civilization used to be, food was not usually far away.
His experience had also taught him many other things, like wherever you will find food, you will most likely find competition. He'd have to keep alert if he wanted to eat this day, and if anyone came between him and his meal, he would teach them a lesson they would not soon forget.
Ah, but he could almost smell it now. Food was near. He began to rummage through some rubble, looking for something he could eat. Before he could find anything, though, he smelled somethign else. Someone else was near, possibly searching for the same thing he was. Despite this, he continued his rummaging.
