Where was he now? He had been walking quite a bit, and was feeling pretty tired. Walking north, he wondered if he was back in Canada. Had he walked that far? Or was he perhaps just in America still. Either way, he needed a break.
Looking around, Nariko could see what remained of a small community, with what had once been pleasant homes, and nice lawns. He went to one of the lawns on his left, and sat down. The sky was clear today, no clouds in sight. This made him slightly sad, he always liked watching clouds. He lay on his back. Maybe a quick nap could help him.
He looked around at the houses around him. One was still in relatively good condition, he would have to look through it when he awoke. Maybe he could find some cool stuff, or some food. Hell, a working sink for clean water would make him happy. But for now, he needed a nap. Nariko closed his eyes.

Lilith open'd her eyes to a a clear bright blue sky, automatically putting her into a pleasant mood, she loved it when there was nice weather like this. She was still in the forest, where in the forest, she didn't know. Paying attention to such things was pointless in her eyes, whats it matter now ? Now that everything had been destroyed, she didn't feel the need to tell them apart, it was all the same anyways.
Today she decided, would be a good day to perhaps find a town, maybe she could find a store, or possibly even people, she was excited at that thought. Although she never really had many friends, lilith missed having other people around, she was getting lonely, constantly talking to herself, just to have a conversation. She decided it was time to find somebody else to talk to.
She decided to find the biggest tree in sight and climb to the top, looking over the land, searching for some sort of buildings. She couldn't see anything at first, nothing but tree tops, until she spotted something in the distance, some sort of opening in the trees. Straining to see what was in th opening, she spotted what seemed to be an old beat up house. She couldn't tell what anything else there was, but she didn't care. She'd seen all shed need to see, and she was already out of the tree and headed for the opening, walking extra fast, skipping excitedly here and there. \She was going to find someone, she was determined.

Nariko was very tired now. Laying down felt very good. He lay still for a few moments, but the sun kept glowing through his eyelids, keeping him awake. Maybe there was a bed in the house. The sun wouldn't be able to keep him awake in there. Nariko got up, stretched, and looked at the old house. It seemed to be not very beat up, it shouldn't collapse. It had better not collapse. Walking over to the front door, he inspected it again. Yes, it should be safe to go in.
This had been a once very nice home to someone. There were old faded pictures on the wall, now faded to the point where you couldn't see the people portrayed in them. The furniture was very nice. Everything was very clean, except for the dust that covered everything from the years of abandonment. To his right, there seemed to be a living room, with a very comfortable looking couch and a decent sized television. Nariko had never really liked television very much, but it reminded him of his old home.
He walked over to the couch, and flipped the cushions. That got rid of the dust, so he could lay on it now. Laying on his side, he found that the couch was very comfortable indeed. Closing his eyes, Nariko fell asleep quite quickly.

Lilith was almost running now, hopping over stumps and rocks. She was just about to climb up into another tree to see if she was close, when she saw an opening up ahead. She didnt hesitate a bit, she burst'd into a full on sprint, flying past tree after tree. Her tiny mouth twisted into a huge smile. She finally made it.
Slowing down to a normal speed, she walked through the opening into a small town, she stopped to examine it and her smile faded slightly in disappointment. There were no people in sight. All the houses were destroyed, some were just piles of rubble. Buildings were beginning to rot and decompose, she was trying very hard not to think about what that house may have looked like before the bomb, or what the family there was like. She knew if she did, it would remind her of her old house, and her old family, which she'd been trying to forget about completely over the past ten years.
Sulking wouldn't help her with anything, and she knew it. She began exploring the little town, looking for something that could come to good use for her. It wasn't looking so good at first, there were pieces if destroyed houses everywhere, untill she saw one house, she liked the look of it, it was in pretty good shape, her smirk came back, she HAD to exlpore it.

Nariko sat up on the couch. He had enjoyed his short nap, it helped him a lot. Feeling much better, he got up. He might as well explore the rest of the house. The kitchen had a fridge, stove, cupboards, a dishwasher, and a sink. Did the sink work? Nariko walked over and turned the knob. To his disappointment, nothing happened. He sighed, darn. He would have to find water somewhere else, oh well. He was done looking through the kitchen for now, he didn't dare open the fridge should it be full of ten-year-old moldy foods. And he didn't feel like looking through the cupboards right now, he wanted to see the rest of the house.
Walking into the hall, he saw a couple of doors. The first door he found was a staircase leading to the basement. That would be the next thing he would explore, but he wanted to check out this floor first. The next door he tried brought him to a bedroom. It was a luxurious room, with a beautiful dresser, a large mirror, and a marvelous bed. The bed was nice and big, and looked even more comfortable then the couch had been. He took off the dusty blanket, and sat on the bed, enjoying its comfort. This had been a truly wonderful house.

Lilith walked over to the house, she wonder'd if the door was unlocked, not like it matter'd, she could easily get in through a busted window. The handle was rusty, she turned it, it felt scratchy on her hand, it was unlocked though, so she didn't care what it felt like.
Pushing the door open she inched her way into the old abandoned house. She examined everything around her walking into a living room. She looked around and noticed that the cushions on the couch weren't dusty like everything else, she found that very strange, but ignored it and carried on through the house.
The kitchen was next, she dared herself to open the fridge, she was nervous to see what was in there. She held the handle and hesitated a bit. She decided just to do it as fast as she could, like ripping off a bandage. She flung open the fridge, and awful odor poured out, she couldn't handle it long enough to examine the inside. Slamming it closed she ran to the sink in disgust, she felt sick, she could've swore she'd caught a glimpse of some sort of green fuzz all over the sides of the fridge. Trying to block the image out of her ming, she decided to go to another part of the house, the kitchen was still filled with the reek of the fridge. She spotted some stairs leading to the basement, and decided to check it out.

Nariko sat bolt upright. He had thought that he might have heard someone enter the house, but he wasn't sure. Now there was an awful stench coming from the kitchen. Something had done something in there to make such a smell. Sniffing the air, he could smell what seemed to be a fox human. The smell was female. A fox girl, eh? He stood up and left the bedroom. The scent was now downstairs. He would follow her, to see who she was. He also had to get away from the awful smell, his sensitive nose couldn't handle it.
He got to the bottom. It was dark in here. There was a bit of light streaming in from the door at the top of the stairs though. His eyes adjusted to the faint light within a few moments. Looking around, he saw that the room he was in was some sort of a collectors room. The walls were lined with glass boxes, items inside them, protected from things such as dust. Before he could inspect the boxes though, he had to handle the stranger with him in the basement. He looked at her and introduced himself.
"Hello."

Lilith was exploring the basement, there were shelves coverd with dusty items. It was dark down there so she couldnt see well enough to trust touching anything, she didnt know what this stuff was, and dint wanna risk getting more fucked up then she already was.
Suddenly she heard something making its way down the stairs, she turned around slowly, there was something there, a.... person ! He was looked around, then he spotted her...
"Hello." he said staring at her. She was shocked to actually see another person, she stood there silently for a minute as it sank in, she found a person, a real live person ! She could see animal features on him, ears a tail, like a dog. He was just like her, she was astounded. She lost control, she was so excited, she ran to him, jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck shreaking in excitment.

Whenever Nariko finds a new person that he hasn't met before, he has to be very cautious. Too many times he thought that they might be friendly and let his guard down, and then got attacked. He could still remember the time that he met Chikiba for the first time. That one good strike to his shoulder had hit hard. He couldn't afford to let his guard down anymore.
She lunged at him. He sidestepped her to the right, and knocked her down by hitting her back. He didn't think that she was armed, he wouldn't take out his weapon unless she took out hers first. He stepped back farther into the basement. After he did so, he realized his mistake. She was now between him and the exit. It was hard to see in here, and it was slightly closed in. It would be very hard to fight in here. He also didn't want to break the stuff in here before he could see what it was.

Lilith crashed to the ground, the dog man had stuck her, she was puzzled by this behavior. She was simply giving him a hug, she hadnt done anything wrong. 'How rude !' she thought to herself. Her back hurt, and she decided this weird dog man was NOT a very good friend, and needed some sense knocked into him.
Jumping to he feet lilith whipped out her slingshot, and shot one of her rock at him. She didnt pay attention to where she'd hit him, frankly she didnt really care, hed pissed her of and he deserved it in her eyes. She doesnt take anybodys bullshit.

Nariko saw her take out her weapon. It looked funny, there was no possible way that a weapon like that could be used as a melee weapon. That meant that it was either some kind of a ranged weapon, or it was meant to be thrown. The girls arm went back, she was winding up. A shot. Nariko ducked, then dove forward. The shot hit somewhere behind him. He didn't hear anything shatter, that was good. Dashing at the girl, he grabbed her weapon with his left hand, and used his right hand to grab her shoulder and throw her behind him. Now she wouldn't be blocking the exit for him, he could change the area to fight in. He really did not want anything in here to be broken. It could be useful to him. It could also be junk, but with a chance of it being useful, and Nariko's extreme curiosity, this stuff wasn't allowed to be broken before he could look at it.
Nariko ran up the steps, taking them two at a time. She would almost certainly follow him up and away from this room. He was planning on it. Opening the front door, he left the building. He left the door wide open so that she would know that he was outside. Once outside, Nariko turned around, and waited.
