This is How a Heart Breaks.

On the prowl once again, Amayah was exploring America for something specific this time. She was looking for bones she could use as weapons, and maybe a few smaller ones to knaw on when she got bored enough. Wondering if she ought to kill a hybrid to get some, she looked around for any sign of life. Usually, there was not too much life around here.

Walking into a nearby building, Amayah began tearing it apart looking for an animal carcass or some bones that may lay scattered on the floor. After several minutes of this, she gave up and knew there was no hope here. Exiting the building, Amayah then began to sniff the air, maybe... just maybe... someone would come. If they were lucky, she may just spare them if they had good enough eyesight.

Not too far away, Randal awoke from his sleep. Randal stood from the ground he slept on and began to stretch. What was he going to do today? Hunt? Explore? Maybe find a new home? Randal was hopeless. Nothing came through these ruins. Randal sighed. What was he going to do today?

Before leaving the building, Randal grabbed his short dagger and stored inside his back pocket. He took his step out and stop to look around. Nothing has changed since the day before. The buildings still looked the same. Broken windows, giant holes in the sides, no roofs. This wasteland has been nothing but a lonely hell for Randal. Randal turned and began walking the streets...

Spinning on the balls of her feet, she looked down the street she was on. Deciding there was nothing to be found in this area; she thought she ought to try somewhere else. Looking around, she saw shrapnel and absolutely nothing useful on the ground. Amayah sighed to herself in boredum and continued walking down the rubbled road.

Randal gave out a sigh. Nothing was on this road. He put his hands in his pockets and kicked the dirt. How will he survive without food? Randal looked down the road he was walking. He could see a moving figure getting closer. What was this? Focusing on his eyes, Randal's sight advanced and he could make out the figure perfectly. It was a person! Finally Randal has found someone to speak with, possibly help him survive! He adjusted his eye sight back to normal and began to sprint towards the person.

Her ears pricked as she widened her eyes and looked ahead of her. Someone was coming forward at her, and they were not walking; they were running really fast. Not sure what she ought to do, she put her hands behind her back and lit them on fire just in case the were running to attack her.

Randal started to slow down once he made out the figure. It wasn't any normal human...it was something much like whatever he was. He came to a stop and stared at the figure. It was a girl. Randal decided to make sure she was safe to approach. He strengthens his ears and smell first. There was no sounds he couldn't make out. The breeze, broken wood hitting the side of buildings, nothing else made a sound. He started to smell his surroundings...dirt...nasty air.....Randal's eyes widened...fire? He sprinted and dived into an alley between two big buildings. Who was this girl? Is there even a fire? Randal's mind filled with questions as he hid there in the alley.

Calming the fire slightly, she awaited the figure to return and keep her hands hidden behind her back; she wondered what the creature was after. Deciding to take a risk, she called out to the person. "What do you want from me?" Amayah asked calmly.
