Returning Home(open)

Fate had a funny way of trying to tell people stuff and it was the case for Felix. For it would seem fate had returned him to the placed that in one point in his life, he called home. His scorpion like tail was wrapped around his waist, as he made his way through what was left of his former childhood. The dried leaves crunching under his feet was the only sound audible in the vast land of nothingness. Dark brown orbs looked over the remaining rubble of his once home that have somehow remained standing, though no one could figure out why. Slowly his right hand stretched out towards a certain wall, as it crumbled. He remember the wall vividly for it was apart of the once place, he stayed in more then his own room. And that place was where they had kept all the scorpions and such.

And this was also the place that he had the transformation. At first he hated his new self but after finding out more about those a like him. He loved it, for it was the only reason he was alive. Silently he thanked the animals that had fused with him. And then he began to wonder. Was it fate who had implant the seed within him that cause him to love scorpions? To have a monkey that was his mother’s to be attached to him, instead of her? What does fate have in store for him now? These thoughts flooded his mind, for no apparent reason. Though could it be because he had revisited his old home? Or was it something else that cause these thoughts to resurface from the depths in which they have hidden? Felix didn’t know the answer or did he want to find the answer for it would only lead to another question.

His eyes looked up in the direction of the risen sun, the day was just beginning and he guess he needed to keep moving. The experience he done gain from traveling this world had taught him, never to stay in one place to long for you will become easy pickings.

After a long yawn and a big stretch, Amayah was up and ready to explore. Jumping down from her tree, she decided to walk to America again, she recalled the last time she went; it was fun. Breaking off into a run, she smiled and wondered what adventures America would bring her this time.

Felix’s stomach growled softly for he haven’t fed in a few days, though he could go a week or two without eating before he had to feed. So he was good because he could always feed at the end of this week or later on today. Again he is rather cautious when he feeds for one could never be so sure of who is watching you and who wanted to have your head on a silver plate. Luckily the only human hybrid that he had ran into who wanted to eat him was during the first few moments after his transformation, after that he had been rather luckily not to run into any more. It wasn’t that he couldn’t defend himself, he just didn’t want to, since killing is such a hassle but if needed he will do it.

His dark brown eyes saw a figure in the distance. This caught his interested...well sort of. Should he go investigate? Or should he continue on with his wondering habits? The answer was a given for Felix, his legs began to propel him into the direction of an once lively forest that had now died and the only thing that was left was mutated plants and the likes. His scorpion like tail was unwrapped from his waist and was used in a fashion similar to a cheetah would use theirs when running. His right arm would reach for a branch, he grabbed it and balanced himself on a limb.

Casually began to swing from tree to tree, always keeping a look out for the figure he had seen earlier. Friend or foe Felix didn’t want to know. The only way he would even interact with others is if, they were in danger and as far as Felix could see it, the figure wasn’t in danger.

Doing a few front flips, she burst out laughing as she looked aroud the deseted town. Walking forward to a partially destroyed building, she grinned. "Let's have some fun." She said to herself. Placing both her hands on the building, she fired up her hands and watched the building burn and crumble. "BURN BABY, BURN!" Amayah yelled at the building as she fellover laughing and clutching her sides; considering how boring the dead world could be, this was the most fun Amayah had had in awhile.

Moving through the trees, Felix would suddenly stop as the smell of smoke fill his nostrils. Turning his attention back to where he was, he saw the pillar of smoke rising into the clouds. What the world was going on? Then it came to him, that figure....could it have? Dropping to the ground, Felix began to run towards his previous location as the trees around him became a blur. Making it out of the forest, his eyes would fall upon the site of fire. There was fire...but the one thing that got him mad was the fire was set on his once home. All the members he had during his time a child came flooding back to him, as his legs propel him forward. His scorpion like tail was swaying side to side as it balanced him slightly.

The ground he covered in a short distance would be rather amazing as he would come to a complete stop in front of the burning building. Instincts took over as his foot dug into the ground and flung dirt against the fire trying to put it out but it was useless for the fire had all but consumed the building’s remains. Staying all of his memories with it. At that moment, Felix whole personality had changed and an eerie killer intent could be felt coming from him. Turning around his eyes would look at the one who had set ablaze his last memories “Do you always find it funny when you set other’s home on fire?” He asked.

Amayah gasped as she looked around at the figure who had spoken to her. "No, the last time I had visted, this place was abandoned!" She said to him quickly. Feeling bad about burning his home, she looked at him. "I can fix it" Amayah told him quickly. Sending white-hot tongues of fire at the building; she managed to save the support of the building and watched it burn out. As the fire died down, the building was i tact... just a little mre lopsided than before. Drooping her ears as she looked back at him, she simply said; "I am ever so sorry..."

The emotions that he was went feeling would subside as he listen to the female spoke. Felix was only wearing a pair of black jog pants and snugged around his waist so that they would fall off. His dark brown eyes look at the remains of the now burnt burning and closed his eyes remembering the fun he had within those walls. “It been ten years since I last visit this place. At first I thought I would never return here after the incident but it seems something had drawn me back here. Don’t feel bad, maybe I should forget about this place? What do you think?” He said looking at the female.

“Oh forgive me, my name is Felix Shade.” He said, outstretching his right hand. His scorpion tail was wrapped around his waist. Felix wondered if the burning of his home was symbolic? For with destruction there is rebirth? Maybe this could be his rebirth?

Sending him a lopsided, guilty smile, she took his hand and shook it. "I am Amayah, pleased to meet you. Would you like to go for a walk to clear up things?" Amayah asked him nicely. A walk usually helped clear her mind, she could tell Felix was upset.

“Nice to meet you Amayah, and sure what the worse that can happen?” He said with a smile carefully trying to hide his rather sharp teeth. Turning back towards the burnt wall, Felix would do something that would probably take Amayah by surprised. His right hand would go to the ground as he did a one handed hand stand. Twisting his right arm his body would spin as left leg get the wall crushing it. Standing back up he will smile at Amayah “The past is best left in the past.” He said as he wonders where they were going to walk to.

Amayah watched him tear down his memories, it was incredible at how quickly he got over it. "Quite the strength you have there. ~" She told him, meaning both emotionally and physically. She always loved someone who was strong inside too. Turning to the left, she began walking down a deserted road and stopped to wait for him.

“Bleh, I guess. Might not believe this, I wasn’t always this strong. When I was human, I was weak kept to myself my only friends where the animals.” He said in a calm voice. His legs began to propel him in the direction of Amayah as he wondered where they were going. “So, how long you been out here?” he asked trying to start a conversation of sorts.

"Really?" Amayah asked him curiosly. A human, huh; she thought to herself. "So you like animals?" She said in a conversational, friendly tone. "So do I, but after our world became this..." Amayah began slowly. "I rather enjoy them..." She said as she lit her hands on fire again, "ROASTED!"Amayah yelled as she sent twin tongues of fire from both her hands in the direction of a deer-hybrid.

"Yep, I was human ten years ago. I'm not seventeen." He said with a smile. "Yea of course I like animals. If it wasn't for them, I would have committed suicide. They understood me more so then my parents." Felix was somewhat happy that Amayah liked animals, which would make sense she was an animal hybrid herself. His eyes diverted in the direction of the deer-hybrid as the flames roasted it. "I take it you are hungry?" He said with a chuckle.

"Oh, I am not hungry. I thought maybe you might be. ~" She said generously. "That is good, being a hybrid you would have to eventually like animals." Amayah told him and paused. "Human?" She blurted out, and covered her mouth with her right hand. "Sorry... I..did not mean that to sound rude, I just find a lot of humans can't be trusted. Not that I don't trust you, you seem very nice...I..." Amayah muttered in rapid jibberish.

“I haven’t eaten in three days....I think. But normally I can go two weeks or more without feeding before I have to feed.” He said with a smile. Kneeling down at the roasted hybrid, he would use his right hand to carve a chunk of the meat out of it, and eat it in a rapid fashion. Felix chuckled slightly “No need to be sorry, I understand better then you think.” He said with a smile, eating more of the hybrid. In a rather short manner half of the hybrid will be gone and Felix would have his feel for now “So tell me about yourself?”

The paths of glory lead but to the grave

"I see" She said calmly. Looking at him, she noticed he ate fast; this made her laugh slightly. Did he really understand? Looking into his eyes, she began her rant. "Well, I am not all that complicated... but my story is long. You can ask me things you want to know, if you want." Amayah said to him as sweetly as she could.

Within minutes he would have finished off the deer hybrid and had eaten enough that should sustain him for quiet a while. His eyes would meet hers as he listens to her speak; “So know anyone else around here?” He asked. The only thing that was left of the hybrid was it's bones and various other parts that Felix preferred not to eat.
