Akahane lifted her stiff body up off of the top of a building. Stretching her body upwards, she unraveled her blood colored wings and began flapping them hard. It was morning, time for a new adventure she thought. A small grin fixed upon her soft face. Where did she want to go today.. upon a moment of consideration, she decided shed head to Brazil. Even if it turned out to be nothing but ash, she wanted to see the land. Planting her feet firmly on the building, she beat her wings harder and faster. Lifting some into the air, she beat them faster and swerved a good 15 meters into the air. Adjusting her wings, she turned and headed in the direction of Brazil.

~Elyah~

Elyah woke with a start. She had another nightfright. They seemed to be getting worse. She was thinking about how to get rid of them when there was a sudden rumbling noise. Thats when she noticed her feet were not touching the ground, instead, they were rushing towards it. Without panic, she flapped her wings. Hard. slowely, she slowed from a plummet to just a soar. As she began to go up into the cloudless sky, Elyah looked over to her left. She saw another halfbreed flying, in the same direction. Where are ya headed....? Elyah spoke in a loud voice that held lots of curiosity. While she spoke, she glided smoothly towards the person.. Taking notice that this person was also a girl.. well .. the appearance of a girl..She straightened out about ten feet from the girl and spoke again. I'm Elyah by the way. Whats your name.? When she said this, her voice showing that she was young, by the tone and enthusiasum that wouldn't be there in a teen or adult.

Akahane was startled to find another avian around these parts. Still gliding, she watched as the other avian made her way towards her. Her name is Elyah eh? Akahane thought. Pretty nice name, "I am Akahane, pleasure to make your acquaintance." If she werent flying, Akahane would usually do a curtsy to a new arrival.

"I am on my way to Brazil, would you like to tag along?" She asked in a pleasant tone. Elyah was a young avian, much like as Akahane herself. She may even be slightly younger than Akahane though.

Elyah was thrilled to have a new acquiantance! Ill tag along!!! Elyah's face lit up as her new acquaintance talked.She said it with so much enthusiasm she actually started flying! ... Higher.. Elyah looked over and held out a hand, but lost her balance and did a roll-flip. Elyah's face showed no embarassement only happiness and exstaticness. She still showed her wide smile that shown through her eyes. Then she looked down and it soon faded. She quickly pushed her new acquaintance out of the way as well as herself. Only seconds before an arrow shot between them.

Akahane laughed as she watched the younger avian girl soar up higher into the sky. She was having fun, Akahane could tell. She was having fun herself. Gliding up to reach the girls hand, she was cut off by Elyahs' bumping her. "What the heck was that all about?" She asked the girl not angry, but a little confused. Looking around her, she saw no threat. So then why had she pushed me?

Oh.. Sorry.. I thought I saw an arrow... Her voice tailing off..What had she just seen? She wondered for a miunute.. Then dismissed the thought. If Akahane hadn't seen it, it probably was nothing.. But then again, it could have been something.. How about we forget about it... unless you or I see another one, then, then I will not be happy.. Someone shooting at us! How RUDE! Her voice rising to a higher volume as she spoke. As Elyah flew, she started to descend from the high altitude, so she could see the ground better.
Looking down, she saw lots of stuff. Including someone shooting another, (not with a crossbow or a bow & arrow,) So she meerly dimissed it as well.

Akahane continued to stare at the girl in puzzlement. Something was bugging Elyah but she did not know what. As if to confirm her thought, the avian dove down lower to the ground and began moving her head around as if in search of something. She stayed down at that level for a while before jerking suddenly as something went flying upwards, narrowly clipping Akahane's left wing. What the hell?! She thought looking over at her clipped wing. She saw a darker red substance start to pour out of the place that had been struck. Droplets of blood plummeted down to the earth as though God had been slaughtered in his bathtub, tainting the always pure rain with salt and cells.

Looking down at Elyah, she realized that the younger girl had not been imagining things but that indeed something had flown past them.

Elyah looked down at Akahane an saw her jerk to the side, and then the blood start to seep from her wing.. HOly Shit.! One got you.! are you alright!? how bad does it hurt.? Do you feel dizzy at all.? The question kept pouring out of her mouth and she could help it, descending to Akahanes level, she took her hand and started .. dragging.. her toward a hill in a short distance which she could aid her.

Akahane stared blindly at the ground below. After a few moments of blankness filtering in and out of her mind, she realized that she was stunned; hanging limply in the air. Suspended only by her wings flapping. Hearing the expression 'hanging by a thread' now made sense to Akahane. Her wings kicking into overdrive was an automatic reaction while she was in the air. Just like people breathe, it did it by itself. The only control Akahane had over it was to go faster, to change direction or to land. Almost every avian had this, and those who didnt well, Akahane felt bad for.

Snapping back into reality, she looked over to see she was being dragged to the east of where the arrows were. Who was doing this? Elyah.

Elyah looked down at Akahane for a brief second and seen that she was focused on her. Oh, good, you arent dead yet.. How bad are you hurt.? She asked with much curiosity.
